Hotrock Pilgrims

Date: Saturday, 6th October 2018
Time: 7:00 pm

We’re very excited to have the Hotrock Pilgrims at Blue Sky after we had to reschedule from our original Spring date, and the good news is we’ve got twice as many of them visiting.

Hot Rock Pilgrims are a bluegrass / old-time super-group featuring some of the most exciting young pickers in the South East of England. Together they will take you on a high-energy pilgrimage of Appalachian music and its descendants.

Born out of the UK’s cult bluegrass scene, Hot Rock Pilgrims have quickly become one of the most sought after bluegrass acts since their formation in 2014. Featuring the powerful vocal harmonies of co-lead singers Hubert Murray (guitar) and Dan Edwards (banjo), augmented by the slick musical stylings of Kieran Towers (fiddle), locked together by Sam Rose (bass) whose slap solos never cease to raise a cheer.

What others are saying:

“Scintillating musicianship of the highest order” FATEA.

“Hot Rock Pilgrims mine the bluegrass songbook with sincere dedication, fine articulation and genuine hoedown chutzpah” – Songlines Magazine
