Time: 7:00 pm

CEG Records presents: Eve Goodman’s new EP ‘Low Sun’ Launch event @Blue Sky Bangor, on 16th June 2017.

Eve Goodman’s musical awakening was sparked by the startling honesty of singers like Joni Mitchell, Suzanne Vega and Bob Dylan, which planted her own style firmly in the confessional singer-songwriter genre.   Eve is a singer-songwriter from North Wales. She grew up in Caernarfon, and moved to Cardiff to study English Literature, where she honed her creative writing and songwriting craft. Through carefully crafted lyrics and tunes Eve explores the landscape of untrodden snow that is her vulnerability to experiences as they unfold for her. She expresses with refreshing integrity, an understanding of the vitality and beauty of life, even in its saddest and most difficult moments. Eve finds her words and meaning in nature; her favourite songs are written outside.  She now lives in Cornwall where has been writing from her cabin on a farm, and recording. Through her upcoming EP Low Sun , and in her recent writing, Eve is exploring the dynamics of finding your voice as a woman, as a human being, in a world that is shifting and changing, and getting louder. Against the noise, Eve offers the harmony of a quietly strong, self-knowing voice, in her journey towards peace and understanding through music and silence.  Eve has been singing her whole life, and her warm caramel vocals have a gentle, effortless quality that will put a spell on the listener. She loves collaborating with people and also lends her voice to Welsh singer songwriter Aled Rheon, and is part of his band The Gorgeous Charge.  She loves connecting through music in many forms, and performs wherever she can from the vast spaces of Alexandra Palace and Venue Cymru, to intimate busks in cafes and around fires. Eve’s own arrangement of traditional song Dacw ‘Nhariad has reached 700,000 views on youtube, which has put her in touch with fans from across the globe. Her own original music is a blend of her strength and vulnerability, and her captivating stage presence invites us to come a little closer…   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIkhcMtwkDo
