FOUR GOOD COMEDIANS

Holding your hand to guide you through the night will be none other than the Mayor of Neath and regular headliner and mc at the problematic comedy club in Swansea Mr Paul James. Once described as “what would happen if Tim Vine hadn’t found God,” Paul delivers a relentless set packed with punchlines from start to finish. His rapid laugh rate has made him a favourite at comedy clubs, arts centres, theatres, and universities across the UK.

Warm, laid-back, and always sporting a mischievous glint in his eye, Paul puts audiences immediately at ease…

Once Paul has warmed you up our opening act will be Nick Doody. Nick has been performing comedy since the 90s when, as a student, he got off to a pretty good start by supporting the legendary Bill Hicks, at Bill’s request. A little later, Nick was a finalist in Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny? competition. Nick has been tour support for Dave Gorman on three tours of the UK and Ireland, for Ed Byrne on his Warming Up in The Cold tour, and was part of the Best of British package show at the Adelaide Fringe in 2020, which was a blast up until it coincided with the start of a global pandemic, so you will be in good hands.

If that is not enough comedy for you we will be spoiling you with our headline act for the evening Mr Maff Brown. He currently does pretty much all the gigs going from the Comedy Store to the Glees to the Komedia’s to Off the Kerb’s and Outside the Box.

Maff was recommended as top ten thing’s to see at the fringe by GQ, Twice (2012 & 2014).

He made a load of top jokes at the Fringe at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival.
